I read today that Sophia Loren has been voted most naturally beautiful person. She says her secret is “a love of life, spaghetti, and the odd bath in virgin olive oil.” What's more, she's scheduled to appear in the Pirelli calendar for 2007 in nothing more than a pair of earings. Did I mention she's turning 72 next month?
Diane Keaton is a new spokesperson for L'Oreal (although she is only 60).
Pay attention. These are signs. Signs that our society is starting to recognize that "beautiful" is much broader than how it was thought of when I was growing up. Neither of these women look like my Barbie dolls!
Now if we can add personality and character traits to the definition of beauty, we'll be somewhere!
